I am me and I am more than a wife and mother. Today as I was cleaning I got to thinking: Ya know, I have an identity that goes beyond my family and my house.
I am fun, ethical, impatient, lazy, happy, working on being more patient.
I like to read (mysteries, historical novesl, and light romances-no shirt ripping hunks on the front), going on road trips, eating chocolate, being organized, lending a hand, sleeping late, making new recipes, trying new "experiences," learning new things, watching TV,Doris Day movies, building things, eating mexican food, going to the library, DisneyWorld, the beach, sewing, my curly hair.
I don't like yard work, cleaning, open cabinet doors, sleeping with the closet door open, clutter, being late (it makes me sick to my stomach), seafood, folding laundry, committing to things, making the bed,
I have a strict moral code, a messy car, short attention span, Bachelor's degree.
At least once a day I think some version of "What would I do if I had a million dollars, unlimited money, etc."
I don't care what people think about my financial position, or my belongings. I do care that people think I am a good person that makes good choices.
I have yet to find something that I am passionate enough about to stick to it (other than my family.)
This is in no way a complaint about my life. I am very happy to be a wife and a mother. Every once in a while it's nice to remember that I am other things as well.
