CARS

A couple of weeks ago I took the kids to Downtown Disney to see some of the cars from the new Cars movie that is coming out this summer.  It was so HOT!!!  William loved it.

Cici's Pizza & a snake

For pizza night the other day the kids wanted to go to Cici's pizza.  It's been a long time since I went to an all-you-can-eat buffet.  It was fun, but I was a bit appalled at all of the overweight people there.
Yum!  Pizza sauce with a spoon.

On a side note-this is why we close our doors in FL.

Mom and Muffins

For Mother's Day I was invited to Sadie's kindergarten class for muffins, singing and gift giving.  Sadie had planted a peanut plant for me.  The teacher had also put together a booklet of poems about different pictures that the kids had made by dipping their hands in paint.  It was so cute.

My friend Andrea

Maybe the only person in the world that makes me feel tall!  Too bad she moved to UT.

Our killer bushes

Last month my Mother-in-law came for a visit.  I cannot believe how much work she did.  I'm pretty sure that we worked her so hard that she may never come back.  We had privacy hedges on one side of the pool that were over 20 feet tall.  She cut all of the hedges on either side of the yard, trimmed all of the palm trees (about 10), planted about 60 plants, and weeded.  She also fixed one of the sprinkler heads.  I hope she comes back-maybe this time we can go to the beach!

The hedges as viewed from the street behind our house.

Another picture from behind the house
Hedges from side of house.  When I asked a landscaping company for a quote on trimming them, they came around the corner and said "Oh, you want those trees trimmed?"  Umm, those are bushes.  The quote $300.

William frightens me sometimes

This is what I found the other day.  He really wanted something on the counter so he got the stool, when that wasn't tall enough, he got the chair.  Sometimes, I just sit and watch him solve a problem.  You can almost see the wheels turning in his head.

Good grades dinner

After report cards come out we take the kids out for a sit down restaurant meal.  This past quarter it was at Red Lobster.  Can you see Samuel's anticipation???

Climbing Wall

Back in February there was a baseball carnival.  I posted some pictures back then, but just found these on Ben's camera.

I was really surprised when Sadie said she wanted to try.  I was even more surprised when she went 3 times!

More baseball anyone???

We have been heavy into baseball since the beginning of February.  With 2 kids in it and each of them have 2 games a week and one has 2 practices a week, we spend a lot of time at the ball park.  Henry also has a practice, but it's on Sunday, so he doesn't go.  Samuel has an awesome coach and not only allows the siblings help with/participate with practice, but he really seems to enjoy having them out there on the field.  It's really nice, because Henry get's in some practice that way.  It's also nice because it's something that the boys work together on.

Henry's team has taken a beating this year, and it's been hard for him, and it's been hard for us to watch.  It's been a year for him to learn sportsmanship, uplifting your teammates, playing hard, and realizing that you can't always been on the winning team.  Tomorrow is their last game.

Samuel's team is amazingly good.  Watching his games is so fun.  It's fun to watch them win, but it's also fun, because Samuel is actually participating-unlike soccer.

More Henry catching
William adores baseball (please disregard the mess)
Samuel got to pitch one game
Samuel loved pitching-unfortunately Henry had a game at the same time, so I didn't get to see him
I'm not sure about the pose, but the dirt all over is definitely
a must for  any day at the ballpark.

Ben's First Field Trip as an adult

Way back in March Ben went with Samuel's 2nd grade to Animal Kingdom for a field trip.  Yes, you read that right-they went here:
Awesome field trip right?  So, how come I get the stinky zoo field trips and Ben get's to go to Disney????

Here are some fun photos of their day.
