Blood
You have to wonder sometimes how a child's mind works. Here is an example. The day that I was getting ready to go to the hospital to be induced Samuel asked me how the baby comes out of me. Well, I don't volunteer information of this kind to my kids, but if they ask, I'm not going to lie. So, here it goes. Samuel is aware that girls bleed every month. This was made obvious when he was about 3 years old and asked very loudly in Target one day if I needed tampons. (Just one example of the fact that Mom never gets any privacy, especially in the bathroom.) Anyway, I told him that the baby comes out of the same hole the blood comes out of, but first the hole has to get very big. So, he asked if it hurts.....YES. Then, he asked if there was a lot of blood....YES. Then, he asked if I would take a picture of all of the blood....NO! It has been 2 1/2 weeks and he is still disappointed that I didn't take a picture of all of the blood.

Spring flower show
This past week Henry went back to school. A week and a half with a child home with pnuemonia, and a newborn was a bit worrisome. On Wednesday Samuel had a field trip, so he was at school longer than usual. We took advantage of this and Grandma & Grandpa, Sadie, William and I went to the flower show. It was so pretty. They had stamps scattered around in the various rooms. Sadie loved finding the stamps and stamping the provided paper.

William was unimpressed.

Tampa house
The Wednesday before I had the baby we found out that the people that had been living in our home in Florida couldn't afford it any more and were moving out that weekend. Great...just what we needed. In a panic I forwarded the e-mail to our realtor down there and he got us a renter by that Saturday. She moved in yesterday... hopefully it will work out. Here are some pictures of the empty house. They left it looking very nice...thank goodness.

The tree that my mother-in-law planted 3 1/2 years ago when Sadie was born has gotten HUGE. The lawn looks way better than it ever did when we lived there.

They painted the whole house too.
They put hardware on all of the cabinets too.
Samuel's job
The kids are really excited about William. Yesterday when I picked Samuel up from school (the first time I was out with 4 kids by myself) he asked if he could have a job to do for William. I told him that he could help me put the clothes in the dresser when we get one for William. He thought about that for a minute, but he wanted something more than that, so he suggested that he could check on William when he started crying at night and see what was wrong. I told him that would be good (knowing that he sleeps right through the crying.) Then, later last night he decided that his job would be burping William. I think he has also decided that it is his job to make William's bed for him each night. This is what it looked like last night.
Here they come
For those of you who know my parents, they have decided to go on another mission for our church. They have been at my house since the baby was born, so they got their call here at the house. The kids were pretty excited. They are going to Edinburgh, Scotland. They will be entering the MTC on June 8.

He's here!
7lbs 0oz, 21 inches long
He finally made it....with a little help. Friday night I went into the hospital to be induced. After many, many hours of grueling labor William (not Bill) was born.
Okay, okay...it only took 2 hours and 3 pushes (I did get an epidural for about 1/2 hour), and there he was. We are so grateful for this addition to our family.

Henry has been sick and coughing a lot, that is the reason for the mask.

Any day now would be nice
For my Mother-in-law
Last October when my in-laws came to visit I put my Mother-in-law to work. She planted some 150 bulbs for me. Here they are so far.

Thanks Annette
