I'm sorry, but my baby is just toooo cute!

They are a little blurry, but I guess that's what happens when your baby is so excited that he won't stop moving. If you look closely you can see his dimples.

BYU Ballroom Dancers

On the way back from NYC I stopped in Harrisburg. The Ballroom Dancers were performing, so I went to see them. I was a technician for them in 1996-1997. I got to talk to the Director and see a great show. Thanks to Ben for being a great Dad the four days that I was gone.

William's First Road Trip

Last Sunday William and I drove 6 1/2 hours to NYC to see my family. We were all there to see my little sister graduate. However, being the Paine family, we didn't just sit around doing nothing waiting for graduation. Sunday night my older sister and I drove out to Long Island to pick up my brother. Monday we
1: got a family picture taken
2: went to the NYC public library and saw a Gutenberg Bible, and the stuffed animals that inspired Winnie the Pooh
3: had lunch at Carnegie Deli YUM! Me, Mom and Aunt Jo

4: walked by Central Park
5: walked down 5th Ave and went to the Lindt store
6: looked for shirts for Matt
7: went to a museum with a Picasso exhibit
8: went to the Guggenheim

9: went to the Shake shack for dinner

All of this was fit in from 10:00am to 6:00pm. I slept like a baby that night...thankfully so did William, who slept very well the entire trip.

Emily's Graduation

Four kids....Four college graduates

Way to go MOM and DAD.

This past Tuesday was my little sister Emily's college graduation. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. The ceremony took place in Radio City Music Hall and I was able to go.

I guess graduations must be a big deal in our family because I believe that we have all been to each other's (except I missed Matt's from BYU, and Emily didn't walk in her graduation for Associates).

So this is our family:
Mom and Dad: Masters, BYU
Jennifer: Associates, Ricks, Bachelors, Boise State
Matt: Associates, Ricks, Bachelors, BYU
Me: Bachelors, BYU
Emily: Associates, FIT, Bachelors, FIT

There were probably about 2000 graduates, so they didn't read all of their names (thank goodness) but there were departmental awards given and those names were read and they walked across the stage. Congratulations to Emily for getting one of those awards, so we got to see her on the stage of Radio City Music Hall.

Adorable

Open House

Last Thursday was Open House night at the boy's school. We got to visit Samuel's kindergarten room and see many of the projects from this year. We saw the turtle that he made, along with the turtle report that he wrote. He also wrote a report on his favorite bird (penguin) that he saw when he went to the Aviary.

In Henry's class we saw poems, a "Room of Requirment" sculpture, and his desk. We also went to the Music Room, Library, and Art Room.

"Dad You're Weird"

This (quote) is from the kid (Samuel) that dipped his entire dinner in Balsamic Vinagrette Dressing and then drank the extra that wasn't used up in the dipping process. Talk about WEIRD.

Oh...last week he made his own lunch: ham and peanut butter sandwich.

My 2 annoyances of the week

1) People who ask the church for help moving and don't have a thing packed. Ben spent 7 1/2 hours last Saturday moving a single guy in the ward...ugh!

2) My neighbor who parks his car on the street behind my driveway. Guess what I backed into last Saturday to the tune of $1700.00? The kicker is the fact that he told me that he has been hit while parked there on 4 different occasions--could you be a bigger idiot? Why does he still park his car there?

Fire and Police Dept

My calling at church is den leader for the Wolves in Cub Scouts. Today we took them to the Safety Center in our township. It houses the Fire and Police Departments. Henry is the one in the yellow shirt.
