Laundry Room

BEFORE

 AFTER

Put in a new, none flickering light fixture, all by myself.

Made some "art work" out of scraps of wood and $5 of fabric.

Mom and Dad come to visit

My parents finished their mission in Scotland in December.  After a month of traveling the other side of the world, they flew to NYC and then took a road trip to visit all of their kids.  Connecticut, Tennessee, Florida and Texas.  While they were here we had a good time catching up and my dad helped me with some projects (and did some projects by himself.)

We also went on an airboat ride.  That was so cold, but also lots of fun.

So cute!

See that broken drawer by his head?  Dad fixed it.  Thanks!

Really? This is how I get to spend $250???

So, on Martin Luther King Jr. day we drove over to Tampa to visit some old friends.  About 20 miles outisde of Tampa i hear glass breaking LOUDLY.  So, as any mother knows, I did a mental inventory and could come up with nothing in the messy car that should cause that noise.  After the split second inventory I yell back "what was that?"  I didn't look back since it was raining and I couldn't see more than a couple feet in front of me.  Poor Henry yells "my window."  Here it is, in the progressive stages as we drove to our friends.

We tried to get it fixed in Tampa, but they couldn't come out in time.  So I punched it out and my friend and I cleaned it up and we drove home.  Weird.

Little Stinker!

We let William sleep with a pacifier, but he is not supposed to have one during the day.  Sometimes, however, he's too smart for his own good!
Note the pacifier on the counter

Yep, he went and got that stool from the bathroom so he could reach the pacifier...TROUBLE

Puerto Rico

We had an amazing time in Puerto Rico.  We got to spend a week in a beach house with Ben's entire family (thanks Grandma.)  25 people total-WOW!  We hit the beach, went to El Yunque rainforest, visited Old San Juan, and ate great food.
Henry was hiding behind that board because it was so windy

La Coco waterfall

Sadie talked about drinking from a coconut for a year.  Here she is finally trying it out, too bad she didn't like it.

Poor William got in a fire ant colony.  Ouch!

Christmas Day

Christmas was a little hectic around here since we had a 2:00pm flight to catch to Puerto Rico.  We did manage though, to have a visit from Santa.

Disney's Boardwalk

After making sugar cookies we headed over to Disney's Boardwalk to enjoy the "beach."  It was a disaster.  Definitely not one of our better "Mom out with kids outings."  Oh well, they can't all be great, but here are some photos anyway.

Sugar Cookies

Henry
In the week off of school before Christmas we found a lot of activities to fill our time.  Six or seven years ago I decided I wanted to make Gingerbread houses each Christmas--yeah, that happened once, with my Mother-in-laws help.  Okay, I have vague memories of doing it once with my sister Emily too.  Anyway... This year I decided that sugar cookies was more my speed.
