Subway Sign

I love NYC!  I have been looking at these signs:
This pair (which is vintage) is $600!!  Even replica's are at least $200!  NO WAY!

So, after checking out some blogs, I made my own and it cost $3 to have it printed.  I had everything else.

Glued it to a piece of masonite I had in the garage.

Because masonite is so thin, I took a scrap piece of wood and glued it to the back.  I glued a piece of twine in between the pieces of wood-that serves as the picture hanger.

That is a real NYC street sign above.  Now, if only I had the 42nd St. one!  I based my sign on the "A" train that I took to work everyday when I lived there.

Love Him! So cute!

Science Center

Finally got around to taking all of the kids to the Orlando Science center.  We were there for 5 hours and still didn't finish.
Nice rack Samuel!

Samuel and Henry working in the orange groves.
Henry's masterpiece

I don't know what that sticky stuff was-but the kids loved playing with it.

St. Augustine

I promised Henry at the beginning of summer, that we would go to St. Augustine so that he could teach us all about what he learned on his field trip.
We got to see a musket being shot.  It was pretty cool.

William's first pith helmet.

We only wish we could have gone on the trolley.

That is one giant spider!

William couldn't go in the lighthouse, that's me in the cute white hat.

Those that climbed the lighthouse.

A day of fun-Sadie's birthday!

Dinner at Rainforest Cafe

I finally finished binding the quilt my sister made.

Sadie's dream come true-a pinata!

Blogging

School starts next week.  Maybe I will be better about blogging.  We have done so much this summer, including many "sleepovers."  Sleepovers consist of the kids taking my laptop to their room and watching movies on Netflix.  So, not a lot of blogging time since I couldn't possibly use the desktop :).

Fun at Coronado Springs

So, why use your own pool, when you can drive 30 minutes and use one with a waterslide?  About a month ago I met up with a high school friend at one of the Disney hotels.  She was there for a convention, and we chatted poolside, while the kids played.  In fact, they loved it so much that we have been back.

Lego Build and Twistee Treat

It's always a good day when you go to Twistee Treat.  Who could resist eating ice cream from a building that actually looks like ice cream?  Also, you can walk home, so there's the added perk of walking off the calories.

We also went to the Lego build that day.  I guess it was a great day all around.
