X-Box

Here's the only x-box we can afford:
Samuel made it at school in the "art center." He even made a remote for the baby (which is still nameless.)

Natural History Museum

Today we took the Cub Scouts to the Carnegie Natural History Museum. One of the dads works in the lab there and took the boys on a special tour. They got to go into the lab and see where they were working on a T-rex. They got to hold the horn of some other dinosaur also. Ben and I walked around with the other 2 kids. They really liked the gems and minerals. Samuel took about 50 pictures there.

Is this normal?...Or is it just my kids?

Since school started in the fall I have had any number of calls from the school nurse saying that one or the other of the boys had been in because they, or something, had hit their head. I'm never actually home for these calls, so I just get the messages saying they seem ok.

Today however, I got a phone call shortly after lunch saying that Henry had been hit in the head with a soccer ball at recess and had been looked at for signs of a concussion and seemed fine. An hour later I got another call that Samuel had been pushed at recess and hit his head and looked at for signs of a concussion and seemed fine. What's the deal? I must admit though, that when the nurse called the second time and told me she had just seen Samuel, I laughed. Hope she didn't think I was uncaring...oh, well.

Getting Ready

Big day today. I went out and bought a box of diapers and some bottles. I also got a couple of outfits, so we aren't bringing home a naked baby. I think we can bring the baby home now. I have even talked to people to ask if they can watch the kids while we are at the hospital. My neighbor has volunteered to drive me to the hospital if Ben is at work when I go into labor. We have a hospital a 1/2 mile away, but my doctor delivers at a hospital downtown. So, if Ben is already at work downtown, and I don't feel like taking the bus or a cab, it sure would be nice to have a ride down there.

The kids got a hold of the camera again:
